Artistic creativity as peaceful competition: In 2019, the traditional December Exhibition will again take place in Kunsthalle Winterthur and at Kunst Museum Winterthur at once \u2013 as a judged show. The portfolios submitted by artists will be judged by a jury consisting of representatives of the artists group, the Kunsthalle and Kunst Museum Winterthur. A selection will be chosen, with the respective artists then invited to display individual works or smaller groups of works in the exhibition. Thus, following on from the Focus exhibition, we will host the Overview exhibition every second year together with the artists group and Kunsthalle Winterthur. By showcasing and supporting contemporary art in the region, the December Exhibition constitutes a significant platform for artists. For an entire month, the Kunsthalle and Kunst Museum Winterthur form the absolute heart of the regional art world, ensuring that the broad array of artistic potential is presented in an exciting and attractive dialog. The show provides a broad and concise overview of artistic output in Winterthur today and visualizes its variety and richness \u2013 with a panoramic and yet focused presentation.
